FOOD AND TRAVEL
Hi there! I'm so happy to formally welcome you to this the food and travel section of my website. As themed, I will be sharing ( you've guessed it..posts on food and some travel experiences). Let's get to it. ps. you may have already tried, hope to try or never even heard of some of these before. Nevertheless, let's get to it xoxox
Ok, so I recently visited France and when I heard of this delicacy, I was a bit skeptical. Now, let me preface by saying I looooooove cheese but when I heard the Welsh was heavy on this dairy food group item, I really wanted to purchase something else. BUT! I am totally happy I indulged in it as it was spectacular. What is in it? well, it is simply bread slices topped with lots of cheese and egg. Some persons may also add bacon etc. in creating this awesomeness.
pro tip: consume while still warm
disclaimer: it's cheeesy, so if that's not your fave food item, you may want to skip this one.
Rating: 9.5/10 (Only because it started to get cold close to me finishing it and the consistency stared to change).
We'll get back to more "cheesy " food items in a few but let's just change things a lil. Ok so this one is much different from the previous both in presentation and general concept, but the taste is great.
This spot is what can be informally termed the French version of Starbucks. Seems Columbus discovered a lot! corny I know :) but this drink certainly wasn't.
What is it? Matcha Green tea iced latte from Columbus Cafe.
Rating: 10/10
I promised we'd get back to the cheesy stuff and here we are. This! tasted good! scratch that...this tasted goooooooooodt with a lot more o's. The proof is really in the tasting so if ever possible, give it a try. ps. I hope you'll love it too
Rating: 10/10
So we just left Switzerland and before you know it, we are in Jamaica. So this is another fave of mine and I'm happy to share it with you. I recently had this cake at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel and it tasted really good. It was just the right level of perfect sweetness without the fear of a particular NCD.
Rating: 10/10
Whooosh! we fly out again :) . I hope you buckled your seatbelts because these posts are definitely gonna take you on a journey.
This! chef's kiss
I never really acquired the taste for lasagna prior to my trip to Italy, but this undoubtedly changed my mind.
Rating: 10/10
This one is courtesy of Green Gourmet located in Manor Centre, Kingston Jamaica. If you're in the mood for lemonade and wanna have someone else make it, this is most certainly a great recommendation. Ps. It's a fairly new restaurant with limited dining but hopefully this option will make your taste buds happy as well, if you decide to give them a try.
Rating: 10/10

Welcome back everyone and thanks for being here. In today's post, let's look at some other Jamaican options I have tried and completely recommend.
What comes to mind when you hear Devon House, Jamaica? If I should do a poll, I am almost certain many who are familiar with the moniker would think of ice cream. Devon House is however famous for much more and one such thing are its amazing patties. I've had the privilege of trying the lobster (10/10) , ackee and saltfish (9.5/10) and curried goat (see pic - 9.5/10) and each experience was amazing. The first two were purchased at Devon House while the latter at Butcher Block Barbican. if ever you are in the island and wish to try patties other than Tastee, Mothers or Juici Beef, be sure to give one or more of Devon House Bakery's patties a try.
This is an amazing cafe located in Orchid Village Plaza along Barbican Road. You can either choose from a pre-determined menu or create your own based on the options available. This place is literally one of my faves and this was a quick post-spa stop to get the strawberry cheesecake roll ...and it was delish!! I give this one 10/10 y'all :). Oh lest I forget, the name of the cafe is Tai Tai
This stuff right here is "healthy sweet" and "taste buds heaven"; gosh, it taste goooood yuh si :). This one I got at the Barbican location but they have stores all over. This time around, I experimented with different cream options which thankfully did not conflict because chile!! that would not have bee cute . I also tried an assortment of topping such as gummy bears, mixed fruit and BOBA!! I usually get boba in Liguanea so it was cool trying it with my tutti frutti. This I give a 10/10 without reservation

Welcome back everyone and thanks for being here. In today's post, let's look at some other options I have tried and completely recommend.
aka "wash off yuh heart" :) ok so quick story. This was had at a private family farm in St. Mary. We (other family members and I) had gone there to visit family and were taken to the farm to see the progress and just lyme. It was there that my cousin Andrew (1) decided to treat us to some of his provisions and gosh this tasted so refreshing.
sn. I have multiple cousins named Andrew, hence the reference #
and yet another sn. you have to try this if you haven't yet
I've had chicken chop suey before but this tasted so amazing. Sadly, I can't recall the name of the restaurant but it was a fancy lil spot with excellent customer service. I'll definitely do a post update if I locate it, but the food, hmm hmm hmm! chef's kiss
It was my very first time trying this and I was impressed. I've always heard about it, but actually trying it made my tastebuds happy. This was from the same Chinese Restaurant referenced above.
TBH this wasn't the best ice cream I've had but was good enough to be mentioned here. The occasion was a "sister Tuesday" outing with my sis and the location was Infini Gelato. I'd give this one 7/10. This is my rating however, yours may be different.
sn. The customer service was A1
I usually get my Mocha Frappuccino from Starbucks, but this purchase from the Julie Mango Restaurant in Kingston was a pleasant treat. I would definitely re-purchase and I give it a 9.5/10

Welcome back everyone and thanks for being here. I had to travel to the Bahamas recently so I'm a lil behind in posting (not complaining :D). Henty hooo...in today's post, let's look at some other options I have tried and completely recommend.
This is superb!! I got this Passion Fruit Yakult with Boba at Mimimo on the Progressive Plaza along Barbican Road, Kingston Jamaica. The rich taste of the passion fruit was just perfect and the Boba was also a something to remember. I easily recommend this as a 10/10 "food drink"
What I loved most about this was the fact that it was not overbearingly sweet. I got this at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel (Centro Restaurant). I rate this as a 9.5/10 only because feel there could have been more ice- hey, it's iced tea after all
Truth be told, there are many patty shops in Jamaica but the Devon House Bakery is one of my faves. This stop to get the callaloo patty was truly worth, it even though the presentation wasn't high on the scale. The taste however was 10/10 for me
When I say I love this stuff, I mean I LOOOOOVE THIS STUFF :). I first saw these on a movie and on my first trip to France years ago, they were on my radar and now a sista's hooked . In terms of rating, of course I give it 10/10. I recommend you try this and see if you will love it as well.
